Chatbot Deployment

NEWS: Chatbot Deployment▼

One of our most popular technologies involves the creation and implementation of customized chatbot solutions. These text or email-based communication “robots” allow an insured to instantly engage in the adjustment of their claim. Always voluntary and able to run for as long as the insured is interested, chatbots collect valuable data within moments of the claim being reported and upload that data into the client’s system immediately upon receipt. When fully implemented, the client and their adjusters have a full understanding of the scope of a new loss before they’ve even had their first conversation with an insured. Chatbots also offer connectivity flexibility so they can be partnered with self-inspection tools like PLNAR and Hover and facilitate the uploading of photos directly from the insured.

FNOL Scraping

NEWS: FNOL Scraping▼

Savings and efficiency have been delivered to MAT clients as a result of our First Notice of Loss (FNOL) scraping modality. Whether an Adobe PDF, Word document, or even a JPEG, MAT’s FNOL scraping tool can successfully identify individual text data and map that data into the appropriate database located within our client’s system. Whether the client is a Coverholder, a TPA, an independent adjusting firm, or an insurance company/syndicate, freedom from manually retyping FNOLs into claims management systems has led to significant cost savings for many of our clients.

Loss Run/BDX Solutions

NEWS: Loss Run/BDX Solutions▼

The successful automation of loss run and bordereaux generation has allowed MAT to pass along significant efficiencies and cost savings to our clients. MAT Lass Run and BDX automation protocols connect our clients directly to their TPA’s claims management system. The end result is loss runs being available to the client in as little as 5 minutes and bordereaux available within 10 minutes from request to delivery. In addition to bordereaux delivery, MAT also works with clients to provide “real-time”, 24/7/365 access to all their loss data at any time.

Analytics speed up CAT claims

NEWS: Analytics speed up CAT claims▼

The ability to quickly and meaningfully understand data is paramount in the current business environment. MAT has developed data metrics dashboards to allow our clients to understand their exposures at a glance. Using an array of graphic representations, including pie charts “speedometers” and ring charts, clients can quickly see loss exposure or payment per ZIP Code, county, or state. The client can easily gauge the overall performance of a book or specific contract, using either the insightful generic metrics that are included in the subscription or any number of customized metrics that can be created to a client’s exact requirements.

Mapping Risk Data and Claims

NEWS: Mapping Risk Data & Claims▼

On the request of multiple clients, MAT is proud to offer our GIS mapping solution named “Meridian”. Our Meridian Mapping Solution allows clients to connect hundreds and even thousands of individual locations into a mapping protocol that will graphically display location and specific identified details with a pinpoint for each individual location. Using the Meridian solution’s built-in storm mapping overlays, clients are able to graphically represent exposure to oncoming storms or flood events. Extra features include:

  1. The ability to “lasso” specific groupings of insured for immediate loss exposure calculation.
  2. Sorting exposure by size, construction type, or flood zone location.
  3. Grouping existing books by location to analyze contract capacity, ZIP Code saturation
  4. Utilizing other available overlays including weather warnings, wildfires, and more.
  5. Supports uploaded datasets as well as direct database connections for real-time visualization of your data. Customization is available at the client’s request.

Production use of VICE

NEWS: Production use of VICE▼

Meeting this hurricane season head-on, Vanguard Claims Administrators went live with a branded solution dubbed “VICE” (Vanguard Initial Claim Entry). This solution expands Vanguard’s ability to quickly triage insurance claims and start them off on the right path.

Motus Audere Technologies’ (MAT) has developed a branded solution known as VICE (Vanguard Initial Claim Entry). Purposefully built to be adaptable, this protocol utilizes API and database mapping features to create an automated claims entry solution that can be attached to multiple Claims Management Systems (CMS). Currently, VICE has capabilities to interact with most of the market’s CMS protocols. Automating claims entry from the standard First Notice of Loss (FNOL) significantly reduces the time and expense associated with manual entry. As you might imagine, VICE shows its ultimate value during CAT season by facilitating the immediate “scaling” necessary to accommodate the entry of thousands of losses without the need to increase entry personnel.

Automating Claims Adjustment

Automating Claims Adjustment

Being long-established, the insurance industry relies on older processes which often require a high level of manual “touch”. Each time a claim is touched, both time and expense are incurred and do not always contribute an equal or greater level of quality. As such, an opportunity exists for benefiting both the Insured and the policy participants through fuller claim indemnity to the Insured, more affordable policies, and overall insurance market health which will be better equipped to deal with the uncertainties that tomorrow’s weather may bring. Without sacrificing quality, we’ve shared a number of “wins” with our clients. Together, we are streamlining high-touch workflows, automating older software solutions, digitizing hand-written Loss Notices, automating external claim communications, leveraging automated Risk Level Data imports, dashboarding KPIs for PIFs and approaching severe weather, and predicting claim volume for tracked catastrophes are just a few of what is helping our clients achieve success. A few of the more forward-thinking are “touchless” handling and straight-through processing as a reality.
